Today's Makeover

Her Story: Donna Watts, 43, of the Highlands and desktop publishing coordinator at
the Kentucky Derby Museum always had a problem maintaining a hair style on
humid days.
The Solution: Instead of straightening her hair, Clelie Hagg, stylist at Images Salon
(2501 Grinstead Drive 502-456-9997) focused on enhancing Donna’s curly locks.
Hagg deepened her base shade to a deep auburn and worked in highlights around
the face and crown to give definition and depth to the curls. To remove weight and
bulk, she layered the hair and finished it with a glosser (Elumens, by Goldwell, $65)
to give it extra shine and smoothness.
For the face: Hagg used bright teal eyeliner and eyeshadow, a peach shade for the
cheeks and lip gloss in nude.
After: “People told me the hair color makes my eyes stand out.”
