caring for your eyes while catching some sunscreened rays at

Frequency of eye exams: “Every child’s eyes should be examined before pre-school,
then every two years. Adults should have theirs examined every two years if no
pathology and as dictated by each condition.”
Why sunglasses are important: “UV light can cause cataracts and is implicated in
causing macular degeneration. Read the tag! Sunglasses should block 98 percent of
UVA and UVB rays.”

treated if caught early.”

How to maintain good eyesight: “A diet rich in antioxidants (beta carotene, vitamins A,
C, E, zinc, and lutein). Wear sunglasses, get annual eye exams, and make your
children wear sunglasses. It is estimated that 80 percent of human sun damage is
done before age 18.”

to reduce risks of cataracts and retinal problems. People

often as they can.”
