Today's Makeover

Melanie Robinson, 37, of West Buechel and employee for the Highland Presbyterian
Parents Day Out Program, had curly hair that was extremely frizzy.

The Solution: Keri Stengel, owner of Lebliss Salon & Spa applied Redken Spin Control,
$14 to the hair to relax the curl and frizz. Next, Stengel layered the hair to eliminate
heaviness at the bottom and promote fullness at the top. Then she replaced her
brassy hair color with dark blonde and worked in highlights to give her curly locks more
definition. “We tried to pick a hair color that would make her stand out more,” said
Stengel.

For her face, Stengel kept it simple by using a press powder and a little blush (Autumn
Flower by New Radiance, $27). To make her eyes pop, she applied a darker color in
the creases of her eyelids along with shimmering eyeshadow for a glow. She finished
her look with a natural lip color (Sheer and Shine Apricot Glaze by New Radiance, $15).

Styling Tip:
If you have curly hair, Stengel
says you should use a big tooth
comb instead of a brush,
because it causes the hair to frizz.
