Her Story: Crystal Anderson, 26, of Taylorsville and Certified Nurse Assistant at
Greenmeadows Health Care Center, couldn’t do much with her fine hair.

The Solution Kim Lee, stylist at Lebliss Salon & Spa, took off three inches of hair and
used a concave layering technique which gave her shorter layers at the top and
enabled her to blend the rest of the hair. To balance out her hair color and give it
more depth, Lee worked in highlights on the top and lowlights underneath. “She had a
lot of blond on the ends and the roots were darker,” said Lee.

Instead of sticking with Crystal’s dark eyeliner, Lee used a brown liner and a
foundation in neutral beige to prevent the skin from looking too pink. She also used
neutral shades for the eyes and finished her look with bronze lip color. *

Styling Tip:
If you have fine hair,
Lee suggests using
a mixture of protein
and moisture in your
conditioner, because
fine hair needs
strength. “Use spray
volumnizers like
Redken Guts and
thickeners.”
